Le live de Kid Loco est différent de ces albums. Plus de tripes et plus de risques. Kid Loco a l’habitude de livrer des albums aux sonorités très propres. Ici, en Live, l'intensité prend le pas sur la justesse. Grandcrew a aimé ce live. Kid Loco met en exergue la difficulté de jouer la fragilité d’une musique à la base travaillée et maîtrisée. Une délicieuse et sensible imperfection qui n’enraille en rien les mélodies planantes du Kid. Bien au contraire. L’instrumentalisation de sa musique sur scène, si personnelle, a fait découvrir une nouvelle facette plus électrique de la Trip Hop que livre habituellement Kid Loco.

Kid Loco

An easy-listening trip-hopster similar in style and intent to his countrymen Air and Dimitri From Paris, Kid Loco has an even stronger kinship with the long tradition of French pop characterized by Serge Gainsbourg. Otherwise known as Jean-Yves Prieur, he began playing the guitar at the age of 13 and played in several French punk groups during the early ’80s. He moved on to production as well by the end of the decade, and moved on to reggae and hip-hop with a band named Mega Reefer Scratch. By 1996, Prieur had built his own studio, christened himself Kid Loco and released the Blues Project EP for Yellow Productions.

Created in 1997, La Maroquinerie can welcome 500 music lovers. Its eclectic selection offers you the edgiest and the hottest of today’s sounds. But you can also chill out at the bar / restaurant or at the covered terrace, combining a musical evening with gastronomy ! This truly is the finest of the Parisian concert scene, and the staff has always welcomed us with open arms... Great sound, lighting, atmosphere and musical selection. Word.

Créée en 1997, la Maroquinerie, salle de concerts de 500 places du XXème arrondissement, s'ancre dans le paysage musical parisien par sa programmation éclectique à dominante musiques actuelles et sa démarche de producteur (très différent du métier de loueur de salle) et d'initiateur de festivals pointus. La "Maroq" fait ce qu'il y a de mieux dans la scène live Parisienne, et le staff nous a toujours accueilli à bras ouverts... Un pur son, une pure lumière, une atmosphère chaleureuse et une sélection musicale au top. Respect.
