Active member of the NOVO Hiphop On Top crew that organize parties of the same name at the Glaz'Art, WAPI was feeling at home on the stage of the Glaz'. Scheduled just before Beans for the 20th anniversary of the NOVO nights, WAPI was accompanied by his two faithful producers and DJ's, Tambour Battant, to let loose his bounce & beats. The energy was definitely there and the flows flying over the heavy basslines of TB. What's cool with WAPI's sound is that it's a well needed change from the crap regular programming that can be heard on french so called hip-hop radios.

MC, producer and author, WAPI erred for a long time between jazzrock and drum&bass, taking in and feeding his inspiration with sounds around him. Since he has focused on his solo career, Wapi plays an edgy rap, accompanied by seriously heavy basslines, futuristic synth sounds, and of course the samples of the imaginative duo "Tambour Battant". Faithful to his musical education, Wapi combines all kinds of influences into a musical patchwork that sounds massive! From jazzrap to electro and of course hip hop samples, his tracks are heavy, his lyrics are edgy and to top it all his flows precise and hard hitting.

MC, producteur et auteur, WAPI a pendant plusieurs années erré entre le jazzrock et la drum&bass, s imprégnant toujours des sons qui l entouraient. Depuis qu il se focalise sur son projet perso, Wapi produit un rap incisif agrémenté de bass lourdes et de synthés futuristes le tout samplé par un duo de producteurs à  l imagination débordante : Tambour Battant. Fidèle à  son éducation musicale, WAPI n hésite pas à  faire un véritable patchwork de sons aussi variées que diversifiés au service de prods massives. Du jazzrap à  l électro en passant évidemment par des samples hiphop, ses morceaux envoient du lourd, ses textes tranchent et son flow précis est la cerise sur un gâteau franchement copieux et surtout bon. more>>>
