The sound of Tu Shung Peng is definitely roots. The instrumentals are beyond reproach and the lead singer is a natural at what he does (waaaay out there). The set includes a few classics re-done Tu Shung style, making the crowd groove, bounce, and get down to the good vibes straight from jamaica... Tu Shung made us forget about the Parisian rain for an evening, ya man.

Tu Shung Peng
Originally, Tu Shung Peng is a backing band. The ensemble played for major reggae artists such as Ras Daniel Ray, Ganja Tre and Jahko Lion. For a while, they also played on stage alongside Toots and the Maytals, Gladiators, The Skatalites, Twinkle Brothers and Anthony B. These experiences led them to release "Around Tu Shung Peng", with great original jamaican riddims and vocal appearances by worldwide reggae stars such as Ken Boothe, Justin Hinds, Lone Ranger, or Mikey Dread. Tu Shung Peng is a patchwork of reggae improvs and dub arrangements transcended by unique collaborations.
