Review

"At last"... more than the name of Sporto's latest album, it's also the feeling that so many fans must have felt attending this concert in Paris, from a band that's so rarely on stage! In their extended formation, Sporto Kantès seriously rocked out, dubbed out, chilled out and rocked out some more for an hour and a half to the rare few who were partying in the sold out Maroquinerie! Rock, funk, reggae, new-wave and hip-hop, it was all there... the musical universe of Sporto has no limits!
Sporto will be touring all over France for the next few months, make sure you check'em out!

Sporto Kantes

picture

Sporto Kantes is a french drum and bass band, founded in 1990.
The band has born from the meeting of Benjamin Sportes and Nicolas Kantorovwicz, bassist of the Wampas. Sportes played rockabilly and Kantorovwicz trash, but they play a melt of genres in their album: dub, jazz, reggae, hip-hop, but also brasilian music.
Nicolas Kantorowicz and Benjamin Sportes formed Sporto Kantes in the aftermath of the first wave of mid- 90s French house. Their first few releases appeared on the Catalogue imprint and were lapped up by those seeking a way to wind down after a night of furious funking to the likes of Pepe Bradock and Daft Punk. more>>>
