Ratatat's live performance was a slap in the face. The duo from New-York was true to their reputation and to their album... Epic, electric, and a bit psychedelic! Mike Stroud and Evan Mast are true hardcore musicians that transported the audience to higher grounds thanks to perfect mastery of their instruments and the use of mind-blowing background visuals. The two rockers don't fake their stage antics, they truly live their music: Stroud is one with his guitar - must see his limbo-esque moves, while Mast floats through the smoke-filled stage to tweak all his instruments and occasionnally beat on his drum, like a conductor. I think you get our point: powerful electro/rock. Respect.

Le live de Ratatat fût une vraie claque. Le duo new yorkais n a pas déçu. Leur concert est aussi bon que leurs albums. Psyché, épique et électrique sont les termes qui collent le mieux à  ce live. Mike Stroud et Evan Mast, deux vrais zikos purs et durs, ont transporté le public (réellement acquis à  la cause de Ratatat) dans un monde aux sonorités planantes, imagés par des vidéos hallucinants et envoutants à  souhait ! Les deux compères ne font pas semblant sur scène, ils vivent leur musique. Leurs morceux révèlent une multitudes de sentiments qu'ils partagent sur scène : Stroud fait corps avec sa guitare se cambrant en arrière sur des riffs de dingues pendant que Mast, Monsieur touche à  tout, traverse les volutes de fumée allant d un instrument à  l autre en véritable chef d'orchestre. Bref, vous l'aurez compris : Un concert de rock/électro puissant. Respect.

Ratatat est un projet électro/rock made in US. Ils sont deux et viennent de New York : le guitariste Mike Stroud et le mixeur/producteur Evan Mast. Ils se sont rencontrés au Skidmore College et commencent à  travailler ensemble en 2001 sur un projet nommé à  l époque Cherry. Leur premier album sort en 2004. Composé et enregistré chez Mast, cet effort rassemble expérimentations sonores et dialogues de films en intro et outro. Alternant LP et remixs de hiphop, Ratatat est un des fers de lance de l électro/rock newyorkais. Les Guitares épiques et les compositions électro se marient parfaitement et donnent à  l ensemble un son unique de très bonne facture. Grandcrew is fan. more>>>
