Owen Pallett is the perfect incarnation of the 21st century musician. Able mutli-instrumentalist, aventurer, traveller, open-minded, and skilled violinist in addition! Sometimes, even before the concert starts, you feel an unexplained energy charge the room. One thing is sure: Owen's fans were charged up at the Café de la Danse and the artist, the fans and the venue were in unison.
His concert was an hour long explosion of vibrant and unique melodies. Owen's voice and violin transcended his humble personality and we discovered an honest, funny, generous and talented character.
We marveled at his swift technical skills as the concert culminated in a cover of Caribou's Odessa. Counting beats, tapping his chest in rythm with maximum concentration, Owen finally lets his fingers loose and lets it rip! Dextrous on the violin, he created a magical moment that we're so happy to have been there for.
Enjoy this concert that sent chills down our spines, in streaming HD or download. Grab at least one track for your phone! - Artist

Pallett is best known as a solo artist, formerly under the name "Final Fantasy". Leon Taheny is also credited as drummer and engineer. More recently, Pallett has toured with guitarist/percussionist Thomas Gill.
Pallett has been noted for his live performances, wherein he plays the violin into a loop pedal, a technique also used by musicians such as Andrew Bird, Jeremy Larson, Emily Wells and Zoë Keating. Pallett uses Max/MSP and SooperLooper to do multi-phonic looping, which sends his violin signal to amplifiers across the stage. - Label

Domino Records

Domino Recording Company, generally known as Domino Records, is an independent record label based in London. There is also a wing of the label based in United States, releasing Domino artists' music from the label's Brooklyn offices and run by Kris Gillespie, as well as a German division called Domino Deutschland and a French division called Domino France. In addition, Stephen Pastel presides over the subsidiary label Geographic Music, which releases more unusual British and World music. In 2011, the company announced that it was beginning a book publishing division, The Domino Press.[1]

Founded in 1993, by Laurence Bell and his partner Jacqui Rice, the label's first release was the Sebadoh EP Rocking the Forest, licensed from Sub Pop records for release in the UK. Many of the early releases were by American artists who in the USA were signed to Drag City (Smog, Will Oldham, Royal Trux), a relationship which continues to this day. Success was not immediate, as labels such as Domino, who were releasing more established American rock and unusual British music, were marginalised during the Britpop era, but a steady stream of new signings gave the label increasing credibility. Recent high profile releases from Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, and The Kills have only acted as a catalyst to this, and Domino is now one of the longest running and most successful independent record labels in the UK.
2003 saw the label's 10th anniversary. There were a number of new releases, as well as a compilation album and a series of gigs in London under the 'Worlds of Possibility' banner, to celebrate the label's first decade in October of that year.
Domino celebrated their first UK #1 album in October 2005 with Franz Ferdinand's You Could Have It So Much Better, and their first UK #1 single with Arctic Monkeys' "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" later that same month.
As well as new music, Domino have released produced compilations by British post-punk bands such as Orange Juice, Josef K, Fire Engines and Young Marble Giants. - Venue

The Café de la Danse is a great intimate venue in Paris (499 capacity including 250 seated). Technically, the sound design is flawless and the venue is very flexible, allowing you to modify configuration "à souhait". Right in historic Bastille area, the Café de la Danse is cultural and musical hub of Paris.
Private for the past 18 years, it's expanded its range of activites beyond concerts to other parts of the music industry. The Café is now not only a place to host great shows, it's also includes editing, promotion and manager activities.
Artistic open-mindedness, cultural curiosity, and proximity with the fans are all of the values of the Café de la Danse has tried to fight for since its creation and that the team strives for all year long!
