Review

The lineup of Radio Nova's Nuits Zebrees parties are always a sure shot. Martina Topley Bird played at the Bellevilloise (the same night as Jamie Lidell) for a live show on Radio Nova. Accompanied by her faithful musician on drums, Martina Topley played mischievous and feverish soul music... torturing a few crisp beats here and there to win over the (already conquered) crowd. Fresh live, Martina heated up the room.

Martina Topley-Bird

Martina Topley walks out of the beaten path of cliche English mainstream pop. And it feels great, with a bit of sould mixed in with electro & hip-hop. Straight out of the London that we love: imperfect, unique, cosmopolitan and so fresh, Martina Topley layers rich texts over danseable and lively compositions.

Always INSANE ! French reference Radio Nova (101.5FM in Paris) kicked it in 2010 at the Bellevilloise. 3 stories of non-stop partying from 8pm when the concerts start downstairs to way late in the venue's cool labyrinth of rooms, used to the max by the Nova staff!
