We ran across Jules by chance one evening that he was opening for Spleen at the Maroquinerie. Humble, guitar around his neck and accompanied by a funky keyboard, he played a few pop/folk tunes. Meticulous in his sound, he seems to be influenced by his first "indie mentor" Spleen: effective tracks with a lively rythm. The mix between acoustic guitar and keys with a slight 80's electro touch works real nicely. Jules seemed a bit tense early on in his set but relaxed and enjoyed the show. With experience and maturity, Jules will be starring in no time.

Jules
Jules got big media exposure in 2008 with the French pop-idolesque show "La Nouvelle Star", on channel M6. Finalist along with 14 other candidates, he didn't end up winning but conquered the hearts of the french... who discovered an 18 year old boy with strong musical background. When the media coverage ended, Jules opened up to new experiences and continued experimenting musically. Grandcrew met him through common friends: Spleen & Hugh Coltman.
