Review

When melancoly smoothly blends with pure melodies, that means Joseph leon is not far, playing his aesthetic folk, guitar slung over the shoulder. Opening a Nuit Zebree is never an easy exercise, but Joseph Leon did it... with humility, sense of humor, talent... and levity

Artist

Joseph Leon

picture

Dark and disheveled, Joseph Leon drags his spleen around like one would an elegant burden, split between his guitar and his voice. Hard as Love, his first album produced in august 2006, is a sober, yet rich record. It offers a dive into darkness while keeping you afloat in its lighter notes. It¹s simple, yet complex. Hear the haunted folk repertoire, watch it spread its wings, travel across canyons, flying through imaginary distant deserts dreamt, soaring from the blue-grey tiles of a silent Paris roof.

Radio Nova "Nuits Zébrées"

Always INSANE ! French reference Radio Nova (101.5FM in Paris) kicked it in 2010 at the Bellevilloise. 3 stories of non-stop partying from 8pm when the concerts start downstairs to way late in the venue's cool labyrinth of rooms, used to the max by the Nova staff!
