Review

Artsy and totally out there, the live performance of INfinite vs. Stade featuring Joy Frempong was an improvisation extravangaza... A concert with no limits that blew our minds... The five performers from all across the globe (UK, Switzerland and Ghana) gave a new meaning to LIVE. From Joy's crazy vocals to the funky beats of Stade's duo, and INfinite's wild antics (can we compare to an underground Andre 3000 with incredible stage presence?), all were exploding on stage in a true sound explosion. Combine this with costumes straight out of Alice In Wonderland - Luckily for yours truly, Grandcrew came out (barely) unscathed from this concert!

Artist

INfinite vs. Stade

picture

Just finishing Chelsea Art College of London in 2004, INfinite Livez is the new star of English label Big Dada/Nina Tune. Exccentric character, fan of Public Image, David Bowie and Funkadelic, he plays a "new" sound that mixes electro/rock/hiphop/funk/punk. No joke! Impossible to categorize this artist (and cartoonist -Globulicious-). Coming from a punk background, INfinite Livez is the best illustration of the intellectual artist, free and caustic. Gotta love the use of the gameboy as an instrument... must hear his latest album "Morgan Freeman's Psychedelic Semen"...

Stade is a project that brings together two world-famous swiss musicians.
Pierre Audetat - live sampler on the keyboards, mind-blowing compositions. His collaborations are so numerous that it is difficult to list them all.
Christophe Calpini - surdrumpad sampler and producer, he is one of the pioneers of swiss hip-hop (also with Silent Majority). Very influent in the electronic jazz scene, he is often acclaimed by the international press for his compositions and performances. Art Brut De Yoot, the first album of the duo with INfinite Livez, was acclaimed by critics worldwide.
