Converted from old slaughterhouses, in the 19th distrist of northern Paris, this cultural complex is truly unique, bringing together nature and architecture, leisure and culture. With 25 hectars of grass and gardensm the Parc of La Villette is the biggest green area of Paris. The Grande Halle, or "main hall", is host to a number of festivals, concerts - some of the greatest musicians in the world have played here. Quite simply amazing.
