Early 2007, Sentenza releases his first EP Rock & Roll Freedom , on his own label All Tube Records, and gets the attention of the hottest indie radios in France like Nova and Oui FM. Press also follows, like Télérama, Rock n Folk Meanwhile, the dynamics in the band start changing: with Etienne on drums and Vince on bass, the energy from the group comes from all three musicians, the band is now a power trio that changes its name to Hooka Hey in 2008. Analog, organic, raw and real, Hooka Hey is city, country, city. Whether acoustic or electric, Hooka Hey never looses intensity. The band can switch from edgy rock one minute to simple and poignant country ballads the next never boxing itself in one style. Hooka Hey s first eponymous album was released May 2008.

Début 2007, Sentenza sort le EP Rock n Roll Freedom produit sur son propre label All Tube Records, et attire l attention de radios indépendantes aussi diverses que Nova ou Oui FM. La presse suit, Télérama, Rock n Folk Pendant ce temps, une mutation va progressivement s opérer Entouré d Etienne à  la Batterie et Vince à  la basse, l énergie dégagée par le groupe change petit à  petit le projet solo en power trio dont le nom devient en 2008 : Hooka Hey. Analogique, organique, brut ou tout simplement vrai, Hooka Hey c est un souffle qui s échappe de la culture urbaine pour flirter avec les grands espaces. Passant sans perte d intensité de l électrique à  l acoustique, Hooka Hey refuse de s enfermer dans un genre. Le groupe navigue subtilement de titres rock incisifs en ballades folks, de heavy blues en country aux accents d americana. Hooka Hey, c est la quête d un son brut sans concession, o๠chacun des instruments, guitare, basse, batterie cherche une harmonie avec les autres. En Mai 2008, Hooka Hey à  sorti son premier album éponyme.
