Monotonix are a garage rock band from Tel Aviv, Israel. They released their debut EP in 2008 and have toured the United States and Europe, including notable appearances at SXSW. These tours furthered their reputation as a band whose shows are not watched, but experienced. Monotonix have become known for setting themselves and their equipment on fire, stealing drinks from audience members to pour on themselves, and turning their shows into unabashed, frenzied dance parties. In 2007, the band recorded their first EP, Body Language, with Tim Green of the Fucking Champs. In 2008, the band signed to Drag City, where they have released Body Language, and have continued their all-year touring.

Monotonix est un groupe de garage rock formé à Tel Aviv. Depuis leur premier EP sorti en 2008, ils n’ont pas arrêté de parcourir les Etats-Unis et l’Europe, avec notamment une performance mémorable au SXSW. Pendant leurs concerts, les 3 membres de Monotonix se déchainent, mettant le feu à leur équipement, subtilisant de l’alcool au public pour s’en asperger. Leurs shows sont de véritables westerns psychédéliques et frénétiques, à expérimenter plus qu’à simplement voir. En 2008, les gaillards ont sorti leur premier album, Body Language, sur Drag City.
